I am a Licenced Associate Clinical Psychologist that has successfully completed my doctoral studies with an emphasis on trauma. I work with the REVAMP Centre at St. Joseph’s hospital (weekends) where I perform supervised neuropsychological assessments, and behavioural modification for patients who have had traumatic brain injuries. I am the Associate Clinical Psychologist at the Rehabilitation Institute of the Caribbean. I am also the clinical psychologist working with a company based in Belize as well as the Beijing/ Jamaica Embassy in China. In my private practice I see a range of clients, both adults and children . Specifically, I create treatment plans for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I hold a diploma in Ministerial Studies and another in Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology, and a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology and certification as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Informed Therapist. My undergraduate degree encapsulated research on levels of PTSD in the police force based on rank and gender. My masters research paper addressed resilience of children in state care. The doctoral project centres around stroke and levels of PTSD in patients.
Ms. Janice A. Lucas is an associate clinical psychologist with an MSc. in Clinical Psychology earned from the University of the West Indies, Mona in 2020. She also has professional certification in Crisis, Trauma and Grief Counselling earned from the Northern Caribbean University in 2021. Ms. Lucas has seen clients battling with depression and anxiety but is open to clients experiencing other challenges. She is a member of the Jamaica Psychological Society and the American Psychological Association.
Joel Holding Is an Associate Forensic Psychologist and holds a first degree in Social Work. He has been working with People Living with HIV for the past 8 years as well as with the LGBTQIA+ community. He is a volunteer with several social service and non-Government organizations in which he provides Counseling to clients and staff members of the various organizations. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Social Work at the Jamaica Theological Seminary.
